A rifle scope for polar aligning the mount.
The drive system: A 200 step/revolution 4v stepper motor geared to a 1/4 drive bolt using a 4:1 drive ratio, giving a total of 800 steps per revolution.
The whole contraption, in the starting position. The electronics are still just danging...eventually they'll be mounted somewhere.
In the extended position...about 120 minutes worth of tracking later.
The (mostly) bare chasis. 1/4" acrylic that I CAD'ed and sent out to be laser cut.
An AtMega328p microcontroller to drive the motor. I'm still trying to find a suitable case to put the electronics into. I need to solve an issue with a uselessly short battery life as well (around 20 minutes now)
